GILBERT P. ELLIOTT
The funeral for longtime Mill Valley resident Gilbert P. Elliott will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley.
Mr. Elliott died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 17, 1989. He was 66.
Mr. Elliott was born and reared in Oklahoma. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Elliott had lived in Mill Valley for 29 yeas. He worked as a hairdresser for 35 years and owned two shops in San Francisco.
His hobbies included collecting art and antiques.
Mr. Elliott is survived by a sister, Helen Ivey of Pratt, Kan.; two brothers, Deward Elliott of Richland Center, Wis., and Perry Elliott of Overland Park, Kan.
Burial will be private at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sebastopol.
Friends may call until 8 tonight at the funeral chapel.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: he was survived by 3 nieces and 6 nephews. He was a native of Konawa, Oklahoma; he also was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Navy.
