IONE K. WISE Dies at 91
Ione Kirk Wise, 91, longtime San Rafael resident, died today in a local hospital after a long illness.
A native of Adin, Modoc County, she moved to Novato in 1922. She moved to San Rafael in 1932. She has been in a local convalescent hospital for the past year.
She is survived by two sons, Upton Wise of Kentfield and George Wise of Dorris, Siskiyou County; a daughter, Leland Freeland of Klamath Falls, Ore.; four grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato. Burial will be in Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma.
Memorial contributions to a favorite charity preferred by the family.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the wife of the late Perle Wise; her daughter’s name is Lela Freeland.
