Thomas Joseph Shine
A funeral service has been held for Thomas Joseph Shine of Felton, Santa Cruz County. He was a former Marin resident.
Shine died Jan. 23 at a Santa Cruz area hospital. He was 45.
Shine was born and raised in Marin. He attended St. Raphael’s grammar school and graduated from Marin Catholic High School.
He worked for the Pacific Telephone Co. in Marin and San Jose.
He lived in Marin until about six years ago.
Shine was a member of the Pacific Telephone Co. Pioneers and Golden Gate Live Steamers.
He also was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Felton.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Michael Shine of Novato and Tom Shine of Stockton; two daughters, Annette Wallace of Soquel and Rosemary Shine of Felton; his father, Thomas Melvin Shine of San Rafael; a sister, Margaret Wilson of San Anselmo; and one grandson.
Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
The family prefers memorial donations to a favorite charity.
