EMILY SHINE

Mrs. Emily Shine, a Marin resident for 71 years, died yesterday at her Larkspur home following a short illness. She was 89.

Mrs. Shine was born in San Francisco and lived in California all her life, last residing at 12 Acacia Avenue. She was a member of San Rafael Circle, United Ancient Order of Druids.

Mrs. Shine is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Mabel M. O’Connell of Larkspur; a son, Thomas M. Shine of San Rafael; a brother, Albert Blanc of Rio Vista; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Ayers, Mrs. Josephine Lindsey and Mrs. Lisette O’Mera, all of Antioch; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Requiem Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Saint Patrick’s Church, Larkspur. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. today at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper says that she was the wife of the late Jeremiah Shine, mother of the late Vernon Shine, and sister of the late Marie Fleming and John Colin.
