Death Summons Waldo Pioneer
Joseph P. Silva, for years oil tender for the Northwestern Pacific Railroad and a resident of Waldo Point for the past thirty years, died on Wednesday from dropsy. He was well thought of by all his acquaintances.
The funeral will take place this morning from his home and a high requiem mass will be said in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church this morning. Remains will be laid away in Fernwood cemetery.
He was a native of the Azores, aged 61 years. He leaves a wife, Mary, and the following children, Mrs. Mary Thomas, Mrs. Ida Perry, Mrs. Isabelle Gorman, Mrs. Carrie Smith, Julia, Manuel and Joseph Silva.
