EMMA JEAN FULLER WULZEN
A memorial service for Emma Jean Fuller Wulzen, former dean of girls at Redwood High School, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Christ the Victor Church in Fairfax.
Mrs. Wulzen died Saturday, July 23, 1988, at Letterman Hospital in San Francisco. She was 78.
Mrs. Wulzen, a native of San Francisco, lived in Ross and Greenbrae for many years before moving to Sebastopol in 1972. She had lived in Santa Rosa since 1982.
She was a graduate of Lowell High School in San Francisco and the University of California at Berkeley.
Mrs. Wulzen served as dean of girls at Redwood High School in Larkspur for 17 years. She had previously worked as a home economics teacher and counselor at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley. She retired in 1972.
Mrs. Wulzen was a life member of the California Alumni Association and the Santa Rosa Branch of the Retired Teachers Association.
In recent years, she served on the advisory council Retired Seniors Volunteer Program in Santa Rosa and had co-managed the organization’s boutique, which sold handmade articles made by seniors.
She had also recently worked as a volunteer at the Sonoma County Museum.
Mrs. Wulzen is survived by her husband of 52 years, Frank E. Wulzen of Santa Rosa; two sons, Warren Wulzen of Oakdale, Stanislaus County, and Alan E. Wulzen of San Anselmo; a brother, James S. Fuller of Carmichael; and a sister, Barbara Gwen of South San Francisco.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be sent to the Music Fund at Christ the Victor Church in Fairfax or to the Sonoma County Museum, 475 7th St., Santa Rosa.
