Mrs. Laura Benton Dies in Mill Valley

Mrs. Laura May Benton, prominent in Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge circles in Mill Valley, succumbed to an illness of two weeks Sunday at her home there. She had resided in Mill Valley for the past 18 years.

Deceased was a native of Petaluma. She is survived by her husband, Henry B. Benton of Mill Valley, her sisters, Mrs. Walter Orth of an Rafael; Mrs. George D. Gow of Petaluma; a brother, William K. Atkinson of Petaluma.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Robert F. Russell chapel in Mill Valley, under auspices of Mill Valley Chapter, No. (illegible) O. E. S., and Blithedale Rebekah Lodge No. (illegible), I. O. O. F. Burial was in Cypress (? … hard to read) Hill Cemetery, Petaluma.
