Pioneer Passes Away
John Hoffman, age 93, and a pioneer of the days of gold in California, passed away last Saturday at his Las Gallinas home, where he had lived for many years.
The funeral was held Monday at St. Vincent’s church under the direction of Stephen Eden. He leaves an estate of about $10,000 and is survived by two sons and a daughter, Bernard and Amiel Hoffman, and Mrs. Sorenson.
