Mother Dies Leaving Child of Two Weeks
Leaving a child of two weeks and a husband to mourn her death, Mrs. Teresa De Soto passed away yesterday morning at the Cottage Hospital, despite the heroic efforts made by physicians to save her life.
Since the birth of the child on July 4th Mrs. De Soto had grown steadily worse until Tuesday night, when it developed that the chance to save her was light. The child is under the care of Mrs. De Soto’s mother, Mrs. Sherer.
Mrs. De Soto was the wife of Henry De Soto, formerly ticket agent at the Union Depot, San Rafael, but recently transferred to San Geronimo. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Etta Akers. Deceased was well known and popular in San Rafael, and was a past president of Marinita Parlor, Native Daughters of the Golden West. The funeral will be held Friday under the auspices of the Parlor, and directed by Stephen Eden.
