Death Claims Daniel J. Haley; Funeral Rites Held Monday

Funeral service was held on Monday from the Keaton Mortuary for Daniel J. Haley, 67, who passed away early last Friday. A requiem mass followed at St. Raphael’s Church, with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mr. Haley had been seriously ill for several weeks, and the end came at his home on B street.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Sabina Haley; son, Harold J. Haley, assistant district attorney of Marin; sister, Miss Julia Haley, of San Rafael, and brother, Harry Haley, of San Bernardino. James L. Haley, another brother, passed away several years ago, while trainmaster for the N. W. P.

Mr. Haley was a native of Marin county, son of the late Dennis Haley, who while constable of San Rafael township, was shot and killed while on official duty.

Mr. Haley, for most of his life, has been identified with the butcher business. For many years he ws connected with the old Anderson Market, B and 3rd streets, the S. K. Herzog market, and just prior to his death was employed at the Tamalpais Market.

He was past president of Mt. Tamalpais Parlor, Native Sons; past grand knight of St. Raphael’s Council, Knights of Columbus, and also was treasurer for twenty-two years.
