Death Saddens Home Of John Lethbridge On Eve of Xmas
Death summoned Mrs. Mary Jane Lethbridge Wednesday afternoon at her home on Pine St., San Rafael, leaving many close relatives and friends to mourn the passing of a woman who had made her home in this city for over 40 years.
Funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, from the Presbyterian Church, with Rev. John J. Canoles, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery. The services will be under direction of the Keaton mortuary.
Mrs. Lethbridge’s death came after several months of illness. She was a native of Canada, 67 years of age, and leaves her husband, John R. Lethbridge; two sons, John M. and Walter Lethbridge; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Tacchi, all living in San Rafael. Two brother, Robert and David Malloch, and two sisters, Mrs. Marion Jones and Fannie Malloch, reside in Indiana.
Mrs. Lethbridge was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and devoted a great deal of her time to its activities.
She was also a past worthy matron of San Rafael Chapter, O. E. S. and did much to build up that organization with constant devotion to the precepts of the order.
