ESTHER GILL
Memorial service for Esther K. Gill of Tiburon, will be at 4 p.m. tomorrow at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Belvedere.
Mrs. Gill died Monday in a Palo Alto hospital after a short illness. She was 78.
She was born in Philadelphia. She had lived in Abington and York, Pa., prior to moving to Tiburon 16 years ago. She had a brief teaching career in Pennsylvania.
She was a member of the Sausalito Yacht Club, several gardening clubs and St. Stephen’s.
She is survived by two daughters, Winifred Geesey of Woodside and Avis Carpenter of San Jose; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Robert L. Gill, architect in Pennsylvania and for the Port Authority of San Francisco, died Oct. 28. Mrs. Gill will be cremated and their ashes will be scattered together.
