ALFRED W. DEMUELLE
Alfred W. “Freddy” Demuelle, a longtime San Rafael resident, died Sunday at a San Rafael convalescent hospital, after a long illness. He was 66.
Mr. Demuelle was born and reared in Massachusetts and served in the Merchant Marine before World War II. After moving to California, he worked more than 30 years as a car man for the Northwestern Pacific and Southern Pacific railroads.
Mr. Demuelle also had worked many years as a cook for various restaurants in Marin County.
He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church of San Rafael.
He is survived by his wife, Annita Demuelle of San Rafael; two sons, CWO-4 Dale M. Berg of Georgia and Alan D. Berg of Penngrove; a daughter, Kathleen A. Jones of Petaluma; two brothers, Emeile Demuelle of Massachusetts and Albert Demuelle of Corpus Christi, Tex.; three sisters, Clare Denis of Massachusetts, Louise Coe of Willets and Yvonne Miller of San Francisco; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Petaluma.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma. Friends may call there after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Petaluma.
The family prefers that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the brother of the late Armond Demuelle and Margaret Pierce. He was a native of Fitchburg, Mass.
