Man Loses Life In Auto Accident

Samuel Gallick, a traveling salesman, residing in Salinas, was almost instantly killed last Sunday when the machine in which he was riding with his family and three friends overturned on a curve near the Black Point bridge.

He was hurried to the Emergency hospital here, where Dr. J. H. Kuser and Dr. R. G. Dufficy, after a hurried examination, pronounced the man dead. Death resulted from suffocation.

With his wife, his brother, Nicholas Gallick, his sister-in-law, and three young lady friends of the family, he was on his way from San Anselmo to Boyes Springs. On rounding the curve near the bridge the car skidded on the gravel and went off the side of the road, overturning and pinning Gallick underneath. He was unconscious before the others, who were unhurt, could right the car. Gallick was 35 years of age, and was well known in San Anselmo, where he had at one time resided. He was known in sporting circles in San Francisco, having at one time acted as a referee for amateur boxing bouts. The body was taken in charge by Coroner J. Ray Keaton, who will hold an inquest to determine the exact cause of death.
