ERNEST J. CAVESTRI
Retired phone repairman
Ernest J. Cavestri, a retired AT&T phone repairman, died Aug. 7. He was 84. Mr. Cavestri was born in Mill Valley and lived in San Rafael. He graduated from Polytechnic High School in San Francisco.
He served in World War II. He was a member of the Rod and Gun Club, and Club D'Italia. He also was a Ham radio operator.
He is survived by his daughter Marilynn Coffrini of Petaluma; and grandchildren Julia and Alicia Coffrini.
A Rosary will be held at Keaton's Mortuary in San Rafael today at 7 p.m. A funeral will be held at Mission San Rafael tomorrow at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Marin.

A Paid Death Notice in the Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000 edition of the Marin IJ adds information: Mr. Cavestri was the husband of the late Rena Marie Cavestri.
