SOARES – In San Rafael Sept. 26, 1955, Frank S. Soares, beloved husband of Marian Soares, loving father of Mrs. Mary Garcia, Mrs. Evelyn Nelson, Mrs. Alice Shaeffer and Frank S. Soares Jr., brother of Manuel Soares and Silvero Soares, Mrs. Belinda Freitas and Mrs. Rose Lopes; grandfather of Frank Garcia Jr., Susanne Nelson, Deborah Soares and Frank Soares III. A native of the Azores Islands, age 74. A member of San Rafael Lodge No. 1108 BPOE, IDES of Novato and Sausalito and UPEC of San Rafael and UAO Druids of San Rafael and the Marin Rod and Gun Club.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29 from Keaton’s, Fifth and E streets, San Rafael, thence to St. Raphael’s Church where at 9 a.m. a Requiem Mass will be offered for the repose of his soul. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael. Recitation of rosary will be at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Keaton’s Chapels. Elk services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday under the auspices of San Rafael Lodge No. 1108.
