VIRGINIA HOWELL
Private funeral for Virginia K. Howell, who had lived in Marin County for five years, was held today in San Anselmo. Burial was private.
Mrs. Howell, 68, wife of Lee H. Howell of 45 Tamal Vista Boulevard, Corte Madera, died at a local hospital Saturday after a short illness.
A native of Porterville, Tulare County, Mrs. Howell moved to Corte Madera with her husband from Vallejo. He is a retired employee of the Mare Island shipyard.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dona Garrett of Kentfield and Mrs. JoAnn Canelo of San Jose, two sisters, Mrs. Eve McHenry and Mrs. Ruth Sheela, both of Porterville, and a brother, Carl Elder of Porterville.
