JOSEPH SULLIVAN

Joseph M. Sullivan, Marin County resident for 40 years, died, apparently of a heart attack, yesterday at his home, 44 Mission Avenue, San Rafael. He had been suffering from a heart condition for some time, according to a daughter.

Sullivan was a retired machinist who had been employed at a quarry in Richmond. He was a member of Blacksmith’s Union, Local 1168, of San Francisco, the Eagles and Elks clubs of Rico, Colo., and St. Raphael’s Church in San Rafael. He was a native of Colorado.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth C.; two daughters, Ruth Henry of Novato and Lilah Hook of Novato, a brother, Arthur Sullivan of Santa Cruz, and a sister, Mrs. Bernard Cummins of Rodeo, and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
