Helene J. Waterman
Helene Juda Waterman of San Rafael, a longtime Marin resident, died in her home after a long illness. She was 73.
Mrs. Waterman, a native of San Francisco, had lived in Marin for 48 years and was active in various volunteer groups in the county. She was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.
During World War II, she and her husband entertained the wounded soldiers in their Kentfield home.
Mrs. Waterman was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie S. Waterman.
She is survived by two sons, John Scott Waterman of Petaluma and Lawrence Edward Waterman of San Rafael; a brother, Felix Juda of Los Angeles; and five grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no service. The family prefers contributions to Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael.
