MARY ‘MOLLY’ PIDGE
San Rafael resident

Services for Mary “Molly” Marchington Pidge of San Rafael will be tomorrow. Mrs. Pidge died Aug. 15 in San Rafael at 79.

She was born in Ontario, Canada. She performed as an opera singer under the state name “Angela March.”

She left the stage and married George C. Pidge of San Francisco in 1940.

Mrs. Pidge worked as an oral surgeon assistant for the city of San Francisco.

She enjoyed traveling and gardening and was a member of St. Isabella;s Church in San Rafael.

She is survived by four sons, William C. Pidge of Novato, George F. Pidge of Santa Rosa, Gerald C. Pidge of Spruce Grove, Canada, and Dennis M. Pidge of Tokyo, Japan; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Her husband, George C. Pidge, died in 1989.

Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today at Mount Tamalpais Chapel in San Rafael.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Isabella’s Church, Manuel T. Freitas parkway, San Rafael. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
