DR. JOHN F. HUFFMAN
The funeral for Dr. John Francis Huffman of Sonoma, a former Marin resident, has been held in Paris, Ill. Dr. Huffman died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 4, 1988, at Marin General Hospital. He was 78.
Dr. Huffman was a native of Paris. He had lived earlier in Mill Valley and Corte Madera.
Dr. Huffman graduated from the University of Illinois and the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine, where he completed his residency. He was the head radiologist at St. Luke’s Hospital in San Francisco for 17 years. He also maintained a private practice in Stonestown for 25 years before retiring in 1977.
Dr. Huffman is survived by three daughters, Jane Savelli of Sonoma, Fran Pooley of Portola Valley and Linda Fisher of Sonoma; a son, John A. Huffman of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Burial was in Edgar County Cemetery in Paris.
His family asked that memorial contributions go to the American Heart Association.
