MARIAN KEESMAAT
Marian Brazil Keesmaat, a native and life-long resident of Marin County, died yesterday at a local hospital after a short illness. She was 55.
Mrs. Keesmaat became ill yesterday at her home at 821 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, and was rushed to Marin General Hospital where she later died.
For the past nine years, she has been employed as a sales clerk at Bordenave’s San Rafael French Bakery.
Her husband, Pieter L. Keesmaat, is the manager of the Tiburon Playhouse, Tiburon.
Mrs. Keesmaat was a member of Retail Clerk’s Union 1119 of San Rafael and of Lagan Institute, Young Ladies Institute, San Rafael.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Roberta Chase of Santa Rosa, Marian Paris of Carmichael, Sacramento County, and Diane Reeder of Novato; three brothers, Ted Brazil of San Rafael, Bernard Brazil of Tennessee and Vasco Brazil of South San Francisco.
Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian’s Church in Greenbrae with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m. at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael.
