Jacob Vagt, Terra Linda, Dies At 86
Jacob H. Vagt, 86, of 36 Fowler Court, Terra Linda, died in a local hospital yesterday after a short illness.
Vagt had lived in Marin for a year. A native of California, he worked for many years as a roofer in San Francisco, then moved to Sonoma County to become a rancher in 1928, where he stayed until his retirement to San Francisco in 1948.
Vagt was a member of the Woodmen of the World in San Francisco.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Lorraine V. Dawson and Mrs. Myrtle J. Orsow, both of San Rafael, Mrs. Bernice V. Bill of San Francisco and Mrs. Vivian Blecher of San Mateo, a son, Raymond J. of Petaluma, a sister, Mrs. Fred Breckwoldt of San Mateo, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel of H. F. Suhr Funeral Home in San Francisco. Burial will be in Olivet Memorial Park.
