JANET ANNA LANE
Active in Girl Scouts

Janet Anna Lane of Rohnert Park, a former longtime Marin resident and retired bookkeeper, died Saturday, June 30, 1990, at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco after a long illness. She was 67.

Mrs. Lane was born in Chicago. She lived in the Midwest before moving to Marin after World War II. She resided in Corte Madera until 1956, when she moved to Marinwood. She lived there until moving to Sonoma County in 1972.

Mrs. Lane was active in the Girl Scouts, the church of the Nativity in Marinwood and the former Mary E. Silveira School.

She is survived by three daughters, Jill Lane of Portland, Ore., Jann Lane of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Jo Ann Lane of Vallejo; a brother, Don Benson of Arlington Heights, Ill.; a sister, Jane Chavin of Park Ridge, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

Private family services will be at the San Francisco National Cemetery in the Presidio of San Francisco,

Her family asked that memorial contributions go to the National Kidney Foundation of Northern California, 856 Stanton Road, Burlingame 94010.

Arrangements are by Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
