HARRY N. OKUBARA

Services were held for Harry Nobusuke Okubara, a 69-year resident of Mill Valley.

Okubara died in a Sonoma County convalescent hospital Saturday after a short illness. He was 92.

He was a native of Japan who came to the United States in 1904. He worked on railroads near Fresno before coming to Marin in 1909.

Okubara retired 12 years ago after being a self-employed gardener for many years.

He is survived by two sons, Roy Minoru Okubara of Mill Valley and Mikota Sam Okubara of Sonoma; a daughter, Hisako Fujikawa of Japan; a brother, Mineji Ioka of Japan; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Inurnment will be in Japan.

A Death Notice in the same paper mentions that he was a member of the Marin Buddhist Church of Mill Valley.
