Claire E. Sherwood
A private family funeral has been held for Claire E. Sherwood of Novato.
She died Thursday in a local convalescent hospital at the age of 84. She was the mother of William H. Sherwood of Novato, longtime executive for the Marin Scout Council.
Mrs. Sherwood was born in Fresno. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Fresno and Susanville chapters.
She is survived by four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The family prefers memorial gifts to Marin Council of the Boy Scouts of America or any favorite charity.
