Charles A. Lascy Dies At 71

Charles Albert Lascy, 71, of Strawberry, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon after collapsing during lunch at his home. Assistant coroner Eugene R. Fontaine attributed death to natural causes.

Lascy, of 112 Belvedere Drive, was a retired shipping clerk. A native of San Francisco, he came to Marin in 1906 and went through school here, graduating from Tamalpais High School. He later left Marin, returning to stay in 1945.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret C. Lascy of Strawberry, and a brother, Colin T. Lascy of Charlotte, Fla.

He was a member of Mill Valley Lodge Free and Accepted Masons, Sacramento Consistory 32nd Degree Masons, Ben Ali Shrine Temple of Sacramento, and the North Bay Branch of Sons in Retirement.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Russell and Gooch funeral chapel, Mill Valley, under auspices of Mill Valley lodge, F&AM. Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: he was the brother of the late Frank Howard Lascy, Dorita Rogers and Frances Varney; son of the late Frank Howard and Matilda Lascy; brother-in-law of Mrs. Ruth Lascy; uncle of Frank Howard Lascy Jr., Mrs. Maureen Lascy Ortman, June Beers, Gloria Mattson, and Jack, Richard and Ronald Varney.
