Pioneer of County Dies in San Anselmo
In the death February 17th of Mrs. Harriet Tompkins of San Anselmo, Marin county lost one of its pioneers and one who was among the most highly respected residents.
In addition to a large family of children, the deceased leaves a sorrowing husband who had been her helpmate for more than a half century.
The funeral, largely attended, was held at the residence Tuesday, Rev. William K. Guthrie officiating.
The children are Minthorne Tompkins Jr., Philip Tompkins, Mrs. Steward Brown, Mrs. J. W. Carey and Ethel H. Tompkins. She was a sister of Mrs. George C. Boardman.
