WILLIAM F. COLE
Appliance firm owner
William F. Cole, longtime owner of Martin & Harris Appliances Inc. in San Rafael, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 1990, at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 64.
Mr. Cole was born and reared in San Francisco. After graduating from Polytech High School in 1944, he worked for various appliance stores in San Francisco before moving to Santa Rosa in 1955. He went to work for Martin & Harris Appliances in 1958 and a few years later became the owner.
He has lived in Sebastopol since 1958.
Mr. Cole is survived by his wife of 34 years, Edith Cole, and his daughter, Paula Cole. His son, Billy Cole, and his brothers, Roy, Edwin and Albert Cole, died earlier.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Hessel Union Church in Sebastopol. There will be visitation at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Sebastopol from 10 this morning until 1 this afternoon.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Hessel Union Church Memorial Fund, 5060 Hessel Ave., Sebastopol, 95472.
Burial will be private.
