HORACE CABEZA
Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Horace Cabeza, 65, of 1433 Indian Valley Road, Novato, who died Monday in a local hospital after a long illness.
He was born June 26, 1899 in San Juan, Argentina. He came to this country in 1919. For many years he had worked as a sprinkler fitter in San Francisco and Oakland. He also worked at the Mare Island shipyards from 1940 to 1945. He moved to Novato when he started working at Mare Island. He had since run a chicken ranch in Novato.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine, of the home, and three brothers and two sisters in Argentina.
The recitation of the rosary will be held at 8:15 p.m. today in the Redwood Chapel Funeral Home, Novato. A Requiem Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow in Our Lady of Loretto Church, Novato. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.
