Monoxide Poisoning Blamed In Death of George Leith Jr.

Funeral services will be held Thursday for George Leith Jr., 26, a 20-year resident of San Rafael, who was found dead this morning in his auto.

San Rafael police found Leith in his car which was parked along a Bret Harte Heights street. The cause of the death was listed as carbon monoxide gas poisoning.

Following his discharge from the service after World War II, Leith joined the employ of Pacific Gas and Electric company.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Doris Leith; two sons, Dennis and George III; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Leith; and a sister, Mrs. Hilma Schaeffer.

Leith was a member of Pacific Service Employees Association.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 1 p.m. at Keaton’s mortuary, San Rafael..

Burial is scheduled for Golden Gate cemetery, San Bruno.
