GLADYS I. BRUCE
40-year Mill Valley resident
Gladys I. Bruce, a 40-year resident of Mill Valley, died Friday, Dec. 21, 1990, at Kaiser Hospital in Terra Linda after a long illness. She was 87.
Mrs. Bruce was a native of Colorado Springs. She moved to San Francisco three weeks before the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco.
She graduated from Commerce High School in San Francisco.
Mrs. Bruce was a longtime employee of the Emporium in San Francisco.
Her husband, Thomas Bruce, died in 1970.
At Mrs. Bruce’s request, no service will be held.
Arrangements are by Russsell & Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley.
Memorial gifts are preferred to Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael or the American Red Cross.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the sister of the late Charles (Bud) Lutz, sister-in-law of Lilian Lutz of San Antonio, Texas; survived by two nephews and one niece.
