WALTER S. LEVIN
Funeral for Walter S. Levin, 59, former San Anselmo resident, will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Halsted and Co., San Francisco.
Levin died Saturday in San Francisco of a heart attack. He attended the College of Marin football game Friday night and after the game visited the family of his son-in-law, College of Marin football coach Richard G. Read. The next morning he felt ill and was taken to the hospital.
Levin, a land appraiser for the City and County of San Francisco, moved from San Anselmo to San Francisco three years ago. He lived in San Anselmo for 14 years.
He was a member of the Old Timers’ Baseball Assn. and was a former basketball player for the Olympic Club.
Levin is survived by his wife, Helen, a secretary at San Rafael High School; a son and daughter, Capt . Warren Levin, stationed at Fort Devens, Mass., and Mrs. Barbara Ann Read of San Anselmo; three brothers and a sister, Superior Court Judge Gerald Levin, Madison Marcus, Donald Marcus, and Marilyn Rosen of San Francisco and two grandchildren.
Interment will be in Hills of Eternity, Colma.
