ROBERT PEARCE
San Rafael chiropractor

A celebration of life will be held Sunday for Robert Whamond Pearce of San Rafael.

Dr. Pearce, a San Rafael chiropractor for 41 years, died Oct. 16 of cancer at Hillside Care Center in San Rafael. He was 72.

Dr. Pearce was born in Schenectady, N.Y.

He served in the Navy on the USS Lexington during World War II.

He was [a] member of Glens Falls Lodge F. & A.M. in New York, Santa Rosa Bodies Scottish Rite in Santa Rosa, Islam Temple in San Francisco, and the Peacock Gap Gold (sic) and Country Club in San Rafael.

Dr. Pearce enjoyed golfing and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, June Pearce of San Rafael; three sons, Gary Pearce of Golden, Colo., Brian Pearce of San Rafael and James Pearce of Novato; and two grandchildren.

A celebration will be 4 p.m. Sunday at the San Rafael Improvement Club.

Funeral services and burial at Golden Gate National Cemetery will be private.
