Lorraine I. Rossi, 54
Lorraine I. Rossi of San Rafael, longtime Marin resident, died yesterday after a long illness. She was 54.
Mrs. Rossi was the wife of Elmo A. Rossi, who until his retirement last February was supervisor of the Mission Branch office of the U.S. Postal service on D Street.
She was a native of Colma and lived in Marin 33 years. Until declining health forced her retirement last April, she was office manager for the LaFargue Laundry firm in San Rafael, working there more than 20 years.
Mrs. Rossi was a member of the Sons of Italy.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Adeline Merlo, and a sister, Rose Bennett.
Rosary will be recited in her memory at 8 p.m. today at Mission San Rafael. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Raphael’s Church. Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael. The family prefers contributions to the American Cancer Society.
