Robert N. Rossi
A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert N. Rossi of Novato will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, San Francisco.
Rossi, 59, died Friday in a local hospital after a long illness.
He was born and raised in San Francisco. He and his family moved to Novato in 1968. He worked as the restaurant and beverage supervisor at the Northgate Emporium in Terra Linda. He owned a bar and restaurant, Bob Rossi’s Cocktail Lounge, in the San Francisco Financial District for many years.
He also worked as a fundraiser for the Boy Scouts in Novato.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline Rossi of Novato; a son, Steven Rossi of Novato; his parents, Lydia Traversaro Rossi of San Francisco and Michele Rossi of Medford, Ore.; and a sister, Marian Rossi Straw of San Francisco.
A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the Halsted and Company Funeral Chapel in San Francisco. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be private.
