NORMAN ‘AL’ STEUART
Services have been held in Bangkok, Thailand, for Norman Albert “Al” Steuart, a longtime Marin County resident.
Mr. Steuart, 65, died May 29 in Bangkok after suffering a heart attack.
He was a native of Massachusetts and moved to Mill Valley as a child.
Mr. Steuart was a graduate of Tamalpais High School and attended the College of Marin.
He lived most of his adult life in San Rafael before moving to Bangkok last year after his retirement.
Mr. Steuart worked for many years as an engineer for Bechtel Power Corp. in San Francisco on projects that included assignments in several states and Saudi Arabia.
He was a member of the Marin Power Squadron, a boating club.
Survivors include his wife, Ampha Steuart of Bangkok; a son, Norman A. Steuart Jr. of Santa Rosa; a daughter, Marcia J. Steuart of San Jose; two sisters, Marguerite Bledsoe of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Francis Sickert of Klamath Falls, Ore.; and two grandsons.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
