Pierces Heart With Scissors

Mrs. Anita K. Earl, wife of Mr. Earl of the shoe firm of Earl & Nolan of San Francisco, killed herself at San Anselmo on January 2nd by piercing her heart with a blade of a pair of scissors, during a fit of despondency. The unfortunate woman has been sick ever since the earthquake and fire in 1906, when San Francisco was destroyed. Her husband had sent her to San Anselmo with a nurse for the benefit of her health and it was while left alone for a few moments that she committed the act. The body was shipped to Berkeley where the Earls have been residing for some little time.
