LESLIE GEORGE DAVIS

Leslie George Davis of Petaluma, a longtime professional soccer referee and coach, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 1988, at Marin General Hospital after a short illness. He was 48.

Mr. Davis was born in London.

He served in the armed forces from 1958 to 1962.

Mr. Davis lived in Marinwood for 17 years before moving to Petaluma three years ago.

He was a national referee for the U.S. Soccer Federation for the past 15 years and a board member and referee for the West Coast Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association. He also coached soccer teams for Marin youths.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Davis, and his son, John Scott Davis, both of Petaluma.

At his request, there will be no service.

His family asked that memorial contributions go to the Marin General Hospital Oncology Fund.

Arrangements were handled by the Neptune Society in San Rafael.
