George Monjar Dies At 50
George Monjar, 50, a Mill Valley resident and Sausalito mail carrier, died today in a local hospital after a long illness.
He had lived in Marin County 17 years, and his home was at 115 Harvard Avenue, Mill Valley. He had been employed by the Sausalito Post Office 16 years. Monjar was a native of Colorado. He was a veteran of World War II.
Monjar leaves his wife, Frances; a son, Russell of Santa Ana; two daughters, Janice of Mill Valley and Jean of Santa Ana; a brother, Chester Monjar of Kansas City, Mo., and a sister, Elsie Monjar of Inglewood.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.
