HARRY C. SCOTT
Harry Chandler Scott, 62, attorney and a former mayor of Ross, died Friday at his home in Ross after a long illness.
Scott was a partner in the San Francisco law firm of Pillsbury Madison and Sutro.
He served on the Ross Town Council from 1957 to 1965 and served two terms as mayor.
Scott attended Deep Springs College in Inyo County and graduated from Cornell University in 1938 and Cornell Law School in 1941.
While attending Cornell he was a member of the Cornell-Princeton track team which competed in England with the Oxford-Cambridge team.
He was a member of the Bohemian Club and the California and American bar associations.
Scott was a native of Newark, Ohio, who had been a resident of California for 38 years and of Marin 34 years.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice Scott of Ross; two daughters, Kathryn Knight of Bethesda, Md., and Martha Scott of Studio City, Los Angeles County; a son, Craig Scott of Encinitas, San Diego County; a sister, Donna Mount of Newark, Ohio; a brother, Dwight H. Scott of Falls Church, Va., and four grandchildren.
Private family services were held Friday at the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo.
