L. M. SCOTT

Funeral for LaVerne M. Scott of Corte Madera will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary in San Rafael. Private inurnment will follow.

Scott, who lived a 9 Mojave Court, died Saturday at a local hospital after a long illness. He was 68.

Scott, an employee of the Tidewater Petroleum Company for 45 years, moved to Marin Count in 1960 when his company transferred him from Petaluma to San Francisco.

He was a district wholesale supervisor for the company in San Francisco until his retirement in 1967.

Scott went to work for the oil company in Santa Rosa in the early 1920s after studying at Sweet Business College there. He [lived] thereafter in Ukiah before being transferred to Petaluma in 1940. He became head of distribution for the Petaluma area.

Scott was born in Ukiah and lived there until he moved to Santa Rosa.

He was a member of Abell Lodge 146 of the Masons in Ukiah.

Surviving are his wife, Erna G. Scott of Corte Madera and a sister, LaVelle Hall of Ukiah.

A Death Notice in the same paper refers to his wife as Erna Graf Scott. It also says he was the father of Alan D. Scott of Concord and son of the late Alonzo D. and Minnie Grace Scott.
