VERA RIVERS
Real estate broker

A funeral Mass will be celebrated tomorrow for Vera Rivers of San Rafael, a real estate agent since 1925. She died Sunday at age 92.

She operated offices on the Miracle Mile in San Anselmo in partnership with Cole Jackman.

She was a charter member of the Marin County Board of Realtors.

A native of Geneva, Switzerland, she came to the United States with her parents in 1910 and settled in San Francisco, where her father established a drug store in North Beach.

Mrs. Rivers graduated from St. Helena High School and attended the University of California at Berkeley.

She served in 1963 was president (sic) of the Marin Humane Society Auxiliary.

She was a member of the Marin Business and Professional Club, Marin Toastmasters, Marin Mineral Society, the Marin Society of Artists, the Mounted Patrol, the Collie Club and the Ross Valley Players.

She traveled in Europe, Japan, Thailand and Mexico.

Her hobbies included oil painting and showing collies in competition.

Her husband, George Rivers, died in 1967.

Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today at Nazareth House in San Rafael. The Mass will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Nazareth House. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Marin Humane Society or to Nazareth House.
