Mrs. Rita O’Connor Succumbs After Extended Illness
Following a long illness Mrs. Rita M. O’Connor, 48, wife of Sam O’Connor, control officer for the State Board of Equalization, died yesterday at her home in San Rafael.
Mrs. O’Connor, who had lived in San Rafael for the past 25 years, was well-known throughout Marin county. She was born in Ukiah.
Funeral will be held Monday, from Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael, at 8:45, thence to St. Raphael’s church where mass will be said for repose of her soul commencing at 9 o’clock. Interment will be in Holy Cross cemetery. The Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. O’Connor is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred Montegeani, her mother, Mrs. Belle Jones and two brothers, Emmett and Alvin Jones.
