LEE PORTER
Mill Valley resident
A memorial service for Lee Robert Porter will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Tiburon.
Mr. Porter died of a heart attack at home in Mill Valley May 8 at 55.
He was born in Berkeley and lived in Mill Valley since 1967. Mr. Porter was the vice president of Investments of Kemper Securities, Inc.
He was a veteran of the Army. He served as an artillery specialist in Nuremberg, Germany.
He was active in the Mill Valley Little League, Mill Valley Soccer Club, Big Brothers of Marin, Bond Club of San Francisco, San Francisco Commercial Club, Merchants Exchange Club and a board member of the International Domino Association.
Mr. Porter is survived by his wife, Sally Porter of Mill Valley; a son, Scott Porter of Mill Valley; his father, Harold Porter of Livermore; a brother, Paul D. Porter of San Luis Obispo; and a sister, Marilyn Porter Foreman of Pleasanton.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or a favorite charity.
