PEGGY VIRGINIA HEPBURN
A memorial service for Peggy Virginia Hepburn of Huston, Texas, a former Marin resident, will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Berkeley.
Mrs. Hepburn died Saturday in a Houston area hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 56.
She was born in San Rafael and lived in Marin until she was about 21. She was a graduate of Tamalpais High School and attended what was then Marin Junior College.
She served in the Women’s Auxiliary Volunteer Emergency Service during World War II. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hepburn lived in several cities in California and moved to Houston a few years ago.
She is survived by her husband, George Hepburn Jr.; two sons, George Hepburn III and James Hepburn, both of Houston; a daughter, Margaret Hepburn of Los Angeles; her mother, Margaret Aitken of Berkeley; three brothers, Kenneth Aitken of Kensington, James Aitken of Alameda and Dave Aitken of Pensacola, Fla.
The family prefers memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.
