WILLIAM M. BESSING

A private service will be held for William M. Bessing of Corte Madera, a Marin resident for the past 27 years.

Bessing died Saturday at a local hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 70.

Bessing was a native of San Francisco and moved to Marin about 1953.

He was employed by the Postal Service in San Francisco for 30 years. After retiring from that job he headed the post office substation in Strawberry.

He is survived by his wife, Olive C. Bessing, and a brother, Joseph Bessing of San Francisco.

The family prefers memorial donations to a favorite charity.
