JOSEPH M. McFARLAND
Joseph M. McFarland, 73, of San Rafael, a retired warehouseman, died this morning at a local hospital after a long illness.
McFarland retired eight years ago from the Nationwide Paper Co. in San Francisco. He moved to Marin about five yeas ago after living in San Francisco for about 35 years. He was born in Ogden, Utah.
McFarland was a member of the Warehousemen’s Union.
Surviving are three sisters, Pearl Zurl of San Francisco; Elizabeth Robinson of Wichita Falls, Tex., and Thelma Keller of Daly City; and a sister-in-law, Eva McFarland of San Rafael with whom he made his home.
Private services will be held. The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to the Lung Association.
