BEVERLY M. BROWN
Beverly M. Brown, a resident of Novato, died Monday at a local hospital after a long illness. She was 53.
She was a native of San Francisco and then lived in Hawaii until 1931. Her family then returned to California and moved to Los Angeles where she graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School.
She was a graduate of Mills College in Oakland in 1948 with a bachelor of arts in mathematics.
She married her husband, William A. Brown, in Washington in 1950.
They settled in Novato in 1970.
She was a member of the Mills Alumni Association.
Survivors include her husband, William A. Brown of Novato; two sons, William A. Brown III and James M. Brown, both of Sunnyvale; five daughters, Theresa M. Sorenson of Coon Rapids, Minn., Beverly J. Brown, Patricia E. Brown, and Susan B. Brown, all of Chico, and Catherine M. Brown of Novato; and her mother, Theresa M. Schug of Palos Verdes in Los Angeles County.
Funeral services are pending at McCormick’s Mortuary in Redondo Beach near Los Angeles. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery in Los Angeles.
