THOMAS LEONARD
Los Altos – Thomas George Leonard, 38, son of Stinson Beach landowner and philanthropist George P. Leonard, died Sunday on a highway near Santa Cruz when he lost control of the motorcycle on which he was touring.
He operated his own electrical engineering and consulting firm in Los Altos. Leonard was born in Missouri and was graduated from Stanford University. He never married. He had been an amateur auto race driver years ago.
He is survived by his father, a former Marin County planning commissioner and his mother, Wilma Leonard, of Stinson Beach; a brother, Mark G. Leonard of Sunnyvale, and a sister, Barbara L. Robben of Berkeley.
Burial was in Alta Mesa Cemetery, Santa Clara County. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. May 7 in the Foothills Congregational Church, Los Altos.
